I really have enjoyed this whole recording. I love the tone and the wonder that is brought to the songs. All of Chads records have that feeling. Great stuff!

This is music for people who don't really like to listen to music but need to have something in their earphones while they do something else. It has little to to with Bach. It is uniformly bland, quiet, slow, and sleep-making.

Chad Lawson performes violence on the music of Bach he wishes to interpret. Gone are the rich harmonies and intricate counterpoint. What we get here is half of the melody interspersed with new age noodeling. He calls his chorale settings "variations", but one is left wondering if he even knows what that means. This is sad, this is pathitec, this album is an afront to all music and good taste. Avoid this at all costs. -Bz
