So many incredible pieces here, a real journey from start to finish. Ethereal, deep, beautiful and moving. THOSE VOICES.

This is truly an incredible album. The precision of the ensemble (particularly amazing in Elegy), and the singers' sensitivity to the meaning of the texts make this an album worth listening to again and again. I absolutely adore their interpretation of Tavener's Funeral Ikos.

If the rest of the album lives up to the beauty of "Elegy," with its polyphonic take on "Taps," this will truly be a purchase to cherish.

I stumbled across this song on the radio on The public broadcasting channel. It immediately caught my attention for several reasons. It reminded me of Samuel Barber's, Adagio for Strings, which moves my soul every time I listen to it. Both songs are centered around death, and the journey. The journey is peaceful yet sad. I also love Gregorian chant and Elegy, seems to follow that acapella, somber tradition. Long story short, I love this piece.
