I first heard Rita Wilson during the credits of Fat Greek Wedding II with Even More Mine - I wanted to know who delivered that performance so I had to stay until the very last music credits rolled. There is an innate soothing quality to her clear tone that caught my attention. A different reviewer used the word "solid". I would agree that is the best word to describe her offerings to my pop collection. Love it.

I was always taught growing up that if you don't have anything nice to say...well, I won't say anything at all.

There are two albums at work here...the pop album with its light airy here today and gone tomorrow tunes that bounce and sway. Then there is the hint of a darker album with more complexities. It's quite lovely to see an artist stretch - and Miss Wilson into songs like Joni, stay low, and the two bonus tracks in the deluxe album. There's a lot of good will here. Here's to hoping her work and voice continue to deepen.
