Sorry Jessy, but I’ve got to be honest.
Most tracks on this album are not very enjoyable. She still has such an amazing voice and talent. I’ve listened to her first album over and over since I bought it - it’s one of the best albums I have ever gotten and deserved electronic album of the year consideration. Her very soulful songs are the best.
On this new one, there are some good ones - I Talk BB, and Could Be U stand out and feature her beautiful voice and sensuality. Some of the more uptempo songs are just…weird. The music doesn’t seem to match her vocals or style very well. The beats are…annoying?
I really wanted to like this, and have been waiting in anticipation for new material, but I’m left wondering what the people who were involved with this album were actually thinking. It might be one of those deals where the B-sides were actually better than the release itself.
Already looking forward to the next release…meanwhile…time to press play on ‘Pull My Hair Back’ again.
Otherworldly Perfection!

Jessy Lanza can do no wrong; the prerelease took some getting accustomed to, but it promises to be nothing short of perfect.
Can she please be the next big thing

Although the new song isn’t my favorite i love her debut album SO much. Every song is sultry and creamy R&B house/trap. Her vocals that echo throughout her music are just sexy and ear pleasing, i cannot fathom how excited i am when she releases new music
