We just came back from the show by Julian's trio at SFJazz and listened to the whole album again at home. Listening to Julian's tunes is like watching intense short films. There is so much diverse emotional content in every minute.

I'm not a huge jazz fan but Julian makes these stripped down songs so musical. I love his guitar tone here.

Julian Lage is such a fantastic player, but the sound engineer seriously has to back off the compressor. SO much compression it’s kind of ridiculous and ruins the experience.

Arclight is an album of great depth and diversity. Wonderful to listen to this !
