Do not underestimate the power of this concert. It moved mountains of jazz aside, creating a previously undiscovered continent. This was the recording that brought CT to the fore, & once heard (by those who COULD hear) they soon found out he was leading up to it for 20 years! Now, over 30 yrs. later, not one other jazz pianist can hold a lit candle to this. They come with a match & a wick, but can't keep the burn. At this point the only other individual reviewer mentioned being unable to sleep to this. You can do ANYTHING to this. Matter of fact, I forced friends to see him solo after this release: they fell asleep! I then forgave them for they knew not what they did. It usually takes 18 musicians to affect such genius. To be honest, there are 2 players here. CT, & a 92 key Bosendorfer Grand that bends to his will.
