I wasn't sure wether to buy this. I loved Xen, but I wasn't really in the mode for deconstructed bombastic chaos. However, I bought it intending to give it a listen, then shelf it. Well. This record is BEAUTIFUL. It's really undeniably gorgeous. The progress he's made in just over a year is literally staggering. These songs have so much more character, dynamic, they’r more smoothly put together, and the synth patches and melodies KILL. BUY THIS RECORD. Really, really great stuff. If you liked "Xen," you'll love this even more.

This album is truly a journey. I always am left at the edge of my seat with these songs. Whenever I expect something to happen, the complete opposite happens.

Some say he has terrible songwriting and excellent sound design. Not true. Arca has a different idea of music than anyone else, and some people just don't understand it. This is not for the average music listener, but for those who want something seriously out there. Excellent work Arca.

Sure the feel is different, good sour design too. But this is not music, it switches and never really follows a rhythm plus it's mostly giving off terrible vibes and cringy sounds
