Still worth listening to

This particular album doesn't have the same swampy, moody feel of Gris-Gris. Overall, the mood is much more upbeat. The track "Wash, Mama Wash", to me, didn't exactly fit well in the context of the album, but is still quite catchy. All the songs are good in their own right, my personal favourite being "Mardi Gras Day".
If you've not listened to any Dr. John before, definitely check out Gris-Gris. But if this is another flirtation with his swampy magic, by all means, give it a shot!
