At least he’s putting stuff out more regularly. His last single (“The Ever Elusive Future”) didn’t knock it out of the park, but it managed to sound contemporary and still sound like JB. This sounds like an outtake from the last album, and perhaps it was. Stronger than “Too Drunk to Karaoke,” (insert easy joke here) it still sounds like something that might have been knocked out from conception to mix in the studio in a couple of hours. Always happy for more JB music, but prefer when he challenges himself (and us) a bit more.
