On Purpose

Im glad he's still making new music but this album is loaded with more sappy love ballads which have plagued his career since his wife became the major influence in his music. Its a far cry from his first 3 albums that made him great (real western sound) but I'll come away with 2 songs to add to my Clint Black collection, Time for that and Still Calling it News. I also miss the reverb and the amazing talent and musicianship of the early albums. Now its just a lot of lyrics with fairly standard backing music, just like everyone else does.

Clint Black IS country music!!! Thank God he came out with another solid gold album.

Great album! Great to hear Clint again and great to hear something that actually resembles real country music. Now if country radio will only play it. We shall see I guess.

It's about time there is a great country album as well as the new George Strait and Alabama that bring back the amazing traditional sound of country music and not this new bro-country crap. More country music like this needs to be around and back to the way it used to be. Can't wait to hear more stuff like this.

Good music and it's good to hear his voice again but therein lies the problem. Have you noticed that he now has to drop an octave? He still sings well but I miss that higher range he used to be able to handle.

You just have to love it not just because of Clint but because of his wife Lisa I love her have all her music she sings on his songs. I just love them so i love the music!! 10 Stars!

I don't buy many full albums, but this album is so great, I bought it without even listening to all the samples. Love, love, love this album!!!

Ah it's the guy that I often confuse with George Strait. Then i realize that he's a lot like George, but not quite as good as him. He's decent for a Country musician, but the album lost 1 whole star rating for being the 40th Country artist THIS MONTH to come out with a song about beer. Seriously, if i were a bigger fan of Country music, I'd be worried that the musicians i listen to must think i'm an alcoholic, because they think i drink so much that i won't notice yet another new ode to booze. It's so commonplace that it feels just like a cop out at this point. When i see "Beer" in the title I go "oh, they didn't know what else to put on this album and went with ole reliable."

Awesome CD. Clint is at his best in song writing and singing on this new CD along with his sweet wife Lisa. Pure country and wished the new artist today would learn something from this incredible artist.
